With a degree in Electrical Engineering in the specialization of Electrical Power Systems from ISEP, Sérgio Sousa has over 16 years of experience in project management, management of construction teams and commissioning as well as control and management of electric power equipment. He began his professional career at EFACEC - AMT as project manager of medium voltage installations. Passage by Soares da Costa as Project Manager of Electrical Installations of two hotels of the Pestana Group. With a track record of more than 2GW of wind power plants installed in Portugal, UK and Spain during the 11 years of work as project manager of electrical installations in ENERCON. Passage by VESTAS as development engineer of hybrid solutions for wind farms. Then he started learning about solar technologies by working as a construction team manager for the Solar and Substations Business Unit at CJR Renewables and then mainly as a Senior Project Manager at ENERPARC with the possibility to manage the execution team of medium and large solar projects. With the aim of control of contracts for renewable energy plants and low, medium and high voltage electrical systems, with special attention to team management, planning and cost control. Accompanying the client in the various phases of the electrical contract from the project execution to the connection of the renewable power plants. As a working reference namely the co-execution of the ENEOP project in Portugal, co-execution of the 4.5MW wind farm on the island of Graciosa in the Azores which is part of the Graciólica Green Island project, several projects of enlargement of multi-megawatt wind farms, co-execution of a project for the installation and connection to the grid of two 2.3MW wind turbines in a desalination plant in Lanzarote Island, Canary Islands and also coordination of project management teams and execution of Iberdrola's first large scale solar projects in Setúbal, Portugal.
