Detailed Design and Environmental Impact of the Cinco Reis Irrigation Blocks

- The Cinco Reis-Trindade irrigation blocks are part of the Alqueva Multiple-Purpose Project (EFMA), which benefits around 5,600 ha through:
   • secondary irrigation network (pressure pipes with a total length of 41.5 km and nominal pipe size between 110 and 1,600 mm);
   • road network design (road network with a total length of 25.0 km);
   • drainage network design (revetment of about 6.5 km of drainage ditches);
   • filtering systems design (3 filtering stations with a diameter of 700 mm).

- Services provided in terms of design included: Preliminary design, field survey, detailed design, tender programmes, specifications and environmental studies. Services provided involved several fields of expertise such as: Agronomy, hydraulics, structures, mechanics, electromechanics, geotechnics, measurements and budget.
