Portuguese companies awarded in Brazil

The prize for the category of Architecture and New Buildings, awarded annually by the Institute of Brazilian Architects, was awarded to the new building of the Portuguese Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, an extension of the Palace of S. Clemente, which is a cultural reference to city of Rio de Janeiro. The building is a volume lit by glazed courtyards and green roof, takes advantage of the garden and the favorable location where it is inserted and was developed to harmoniously insert in the historical building existing in the city.
Quadrante was the company responsible for the foundations, structures, water and sewage, refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning of the new building, a project developed jointly with the partner companies.
